Norfolk Island Pine

A lot of the branches are light green and brittle. They break off easily. I misted it for a long time but that didn't seem to help. It was brand new when I got it in the winter. I thought it was the humidity but now in the summer I don't think that's an issue anymore. It's not exactly near a window but it does get some light from the south facing office foyer it's just outside of along with the office lighting. What can I do to get this thing healthy? Should I cut off all the bad branches. I assume they're permanently dead? The only real decent growth is on the top of the plant.
