Oh Kathy! What a busy time you've had. I'm so sorry about Ellie and your arm! I too have lost fur babies and I know how devastating that is. I had a hurt shoulder in January. I went to therapy and it helped. I hope that the snap was nothing too terrible. Take care of yourself. The craft show can go hang if you need to heal first.

Good luck with your arm and take care of yourself. I am sorry about your loss of Ellie. We lost our boxer of 13+ years this past summer and it is tough. We are to the point now of considering adopting another dog and have been watching...don't know if we could do the "puppy" thing again..and again...and again..as in the past.

Bless you for taking Ellie when she was an old dog, so many people won't do that. You gave her the best years of her life and I'm sure she gave you her heart and soul. She had a quiet passing in a place of love, that is the best anyone could hope for. I understand the empty place she left and your tears very well. Ellie sleeps in your heart now, and I think she will guide another into your life to love.

and went thru the same things you are going thru....
IT TAKES TIME>>>> and Rest it when you can ... use the left when you can....
THEN * * * maybe try this......
I Got some " COLD PRESS CASTOROIL " you must get
it at the HEALTH FOOD STORE>>>>
rub it on...
DO NOT DRINK IT>>>>>>>>> R U B it on your
arm... and tie a piece of flannel around it.....( you can warm it slightly also !!!!)

It should help.... I pray it does......

O Lordy, Kathy! First, I am happy that you were able to get your FIL in a nursing home. My mother was in such bad shape and I was unable to care for her properly at home. When she finally had a stroke and never fully recovered, she didn't have much of a choice but live in a nursing home. You don't know how much of a relief it is to know she is being well cared for around the clock. I felt as though a boulder was removed from my shoulders!

I am so sorry to hear about Ellie! Thank goodness she lived a long life for such a big dog and that she had her years with you filled with love and happiness. Bless you for taking an older dog and making her happy. Dogs can be such blessings and I know how difficult it is when they pass on.

I hope the snap in your arm isn't anything major and you are feeling better soon! Keep us posted!

Kathy...did you pop your bicep???

I did this last summer...went through 5 1/2 hours of MRI's

They found an old tear in my rotater cuff...

They couldn't fix the bicep but wanted to fix the shoulder...Shoot I had done that about 30 years ago and played softball for about 25 years after that...I figured I didn't need it fixed.

But I sure needed my bicep fixed...I can't lift anything anymore...

I sure hope that's not what happened to you..

And glad to see you back..even though I'm hardly ever here....lol

Thank You everyone ! Having my house back and knowing my FIL is being taken care of is like heaven. Thank you for all your well wishes .... ((((((((( everyone )))))))) Since I posted last - I re-hurt my arm TWICE . I'm living on pain pills til Tuesday when I See my doc. I'm hoping my arm turns out to be an easy fix ... but I have a funny feeling it won't be. Anyway .... Having everyone here as pals is one of the best medicines I can have. I love you guys !!!

Kathy, You've got to take care of yourself!! Sounds like they didn't get to the bottom of the injury in the first place. I'm glad your fil is doing well. YOu will have to keep us posted on what your making for the sale.

I would advise you to check with a chiropractor with the arm problems. I did something to the muscle in my left arm-couldn't even reach out and close the car door for awhile, or put my hand in my pocket. Didn't go to the doctor until it got that bad. I started doing the exercises they gave me for rotorcuff problems one time, and going to the chiropractor. Both things have helped.... It has been a slow process, because I waited so long to go (when Bill was sick). I still go one day a week but I can do almost everything with my arm now--of course things make my arm sore, because the muscle was lax for so long. After Bill died, I went every day for several weeks, and then gradually worked down to the one day. For every month I didn't go, it takes 3 months for healing. I am just about to the end--I HOPE!

I'm heartbroken for your loss of Ellie. What a wonderful life you gave her. That should give you some comfort.

I've lost several dogs and cats over the years, and it's so painful. They're like children to us. People who don't have pets can't understand that. I lost two of my kitties this past year, the oldest of which was 18. It broke my heart, and I miss them so much.

And then your arm...you poor thing! I hope you have not done serious damage to it, and that therapy will help you. Be careful with pain meds. They can be so addictive!

It really has been a rollercoaster! I'm so sorry for the loss of your Ellie! Bless you for making her last years her best! I cried when I read about what you did for her--I always cry about animals, whether they are being treated well or mistreated! It really touches me that you brought a 10-year old dog into your life. Most people wouldn't even consider it! How did she come into your life? I just can't say enough about how much I admire your doing that! I hope your arm recovers soon. Oh Kathy! So Sorry about that wonderful Puppy of yours! You and I have had our share lately eh?! Me, with my broken leg, depression, flu for 3wks,then a fall on my shoulder>still hurts 2mos later...rotator cuff? Anyhoo, hang in there cuz you keep me going girl!!! Just rest up and think about that gorgeous yard you get to decorate!!!
