Which fruit: best taste, least trouble, most reliable?

Mine by a mile is Eureka persimmon. It's hardy in our fickle weather. Don't think other Jap persimmons would be. It is never frozen out in the spring and requires no pruning, thinning, or spraying. Although I did see a few scale just now. All I do is water and put footies on each fruit to keep the birds off. The footies do a 95% job on that.

The fruit matures to a beautiful reddish orange. It is astringent until soft but great quality when ripe. Mine ripen over a very long time. I just need to figure out how to properly ripen the ones that don't ripen on the tree before frost. I like the fruit a lot better than anything I had in California, Fuju and the like.
