1st time growing potatoes: newbie question

This is my first year growing potatoes and I have a newbie question about them. I've only just begun harvesting. I'm finding tiny potatoes in addition to the regular eating size ones.

I'm wondering whether I can use these teeny tiny potatoes (~diameter of a dime) as seed potatoes. I realize that if this works, it may be two years before I get anything to eat out of the plants, and I'm fine with that.

I don't want to just leave them in the ground where they are, because I want to rotate another crop into the bed where the potatoes are this year. I've been thinking of trying some potatoes in a five-gallon bucket. If I put these tiny potatoes in such a bucket with some prepared dirt, would they be okay in an unheated garage over the winter? I there anything better I should do with these tiny potatoes? I hate to just let them go to waste if there's any way of getting value out of them.

Thanks for any advice!
