another sweet/sour cherry question, sorry! and help!

I am kind of thinking of getting rid of my sweet cherry trees. I planted them excitedly when we moved into our new house but I didn't know anything about growing cherries and I think I did it all wrong. I took great care of them, they look very lush and healthy and well shaped. I have (all dwarf) Black Tartarian, Stella, Lapin, Black Gold, Danube and Surefire. The sweet cherry trees are beset with aphids and whatever fruit has been happening get eaten by the squirrels and may be birds.

The Danube, Surefire and Black Gold are younger (3 years this year) and have already started setting fruit profusely. Last year was the first year Danube set fruit and all of them got eaten.

The Black Tartarian (6 years now) also fruited but all got eaten. The Stella and Lapin (also 6 years) are only setting fruit this year.

Should I wait it it out to see if I can figure someway to save the fruit and face a constant battle? Or what?

Or I should not wait any longer and plant some sour cherries?

Please help with some input and ideas or experience!

This is really delayed gratification.
