what is the difference?

Hi all AGAIN!! lol

I have always wondered, what is the difference between putting our houseplants outside or keeping them indoors in front of open windows, when it comes to catching pests such as mites..?

I know some of my friends who will not put their plants outside for fear their plants and pots will be invaded by mites, thrips or other insects.

Don't they have a way with finding their way indoors anyway, with doors and windows open which some of us do all spring, summer and fall? Most of these pests live inside our home anyways right? Some even small enough to get in through screens, such as mites. I actually work with a women who never puts her plants outdoors, and yet still has a problem with these pests. So would it still make a difference as to whether I put my plants outdoors that love to be outside, as to keeping them in doors all summer in relation to pests? Do I need to treat all my plants indoors at the end of fall with pesticide such as I do for my outdoor ones to avoid a pest problem/

Thanks so much

sissy:-)
