What's eating my Strawberries in East Texas?

Hi,

I have a patch of chandler and a patch of sequia strawberries planted here in East TX. They're doing great...I'm getting lots of berries and the plants look healty and these are the best strawberries we've ever eaten. But the problem is that a good number of the berries are being eaten by bugs or something. I never see the culprit, just the damage. Any ideas what it could be? The only thing I can think of is possibly crickets that live in the straw that I used to mulch the strawberries.

Thanks.
