Just planted new peach tree, now do I have good scionwood?

Hello,

I just planted a "Jim Dandy" peach tree. I pruned it immediately after planting. I saved all the prunings as I thought they may be used for grafting. Most of the wood is probably about half the diameter of a pencil. Is this good, marketable scionwood?

I do not know anything about this particular peach variety. I ordered a "Reliance" from a local nursery, but they had to substitute a Jim Dandy for a Reliance. They told me it is similar, in that it is a sweet, freestone variety.

The scions are currently being kept moist in a refrigerator, and the tree was just pruned this evening.

I also was told that this tree was in a protected environment prior to the nursery receiving it, so it was not subjected to the freezing temps which hit our area in the past couple of weeks.

Is this a good peach, and do I have good, marketable scionwood? I appreciate any advise anyone may have...
