Planning a Huge Veggie Garden

Hey guys I'm new to this place and I love what I see.

I moved from NYC to Stockbridge GA (Metro Atlanta). I have a lot of fertile land now and I plan to have a huge Vegetable garden next spring and want to begin planning it. The ground where I want it to be is of course clay however not as bright orange as many of the places I've seen. I had run some hogs through there before and they basically tilled the field for me. I moved them somewhere else and let this section over grow (my bad). I tried to till it and that did not work with the amount of growth.

This is what the field looks like. I have set out new hogs and they should make quick work of the growth.

Am I on the right track? I am more of a livestock guru than a plant one. I plan to let the hogs tear that section up until late winter then till it and let it sit for a while until early spring... The soil will be tested and amended if needed (which I doubt after the hogs do their work)...

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
