My yellow raspberries never produce any fruit!

Okay, all this talk about raspberries reminded me of a question. I have 3 so called 'everbearing yellow raspberries'. They grow pretty upright, and their canes love to cascade to the ground and root. But, for the past 3 years I never had fruit until I saw some flower buds last summer. FINALLY! I thought. I was so happy! They didn't look anything like normal raspberry's in the way they had a fruiting cluster instead of just willy nilly flowers. Then, the worst thing happened, the canes that the flowwers were on started to wither up and died! The plant didn't die, just those canes! I think someone has it in for me. Should I cut these 'NEVER bearers' to the ground so they hopefully will bear some crop for me? I checked for borers but there were none. No fungal diseases observed either. Argh! All my other raspberries produce except these ornery things. Anyone else have this happen?
