Hi Darius 07, sure, I am in Clinton, but am up your way often, mostly for the Home Depot. It seems like there are a few of us CTers here. I try to mention the "coast" part when I think of it because if you look at those plant hardiness maps we are actually almost in Zone 7, so not typical for most of the state. I guess it is the moderating effect the Sound has on our temperatures. I work in North Haven and it is always warmer there in winter and cooler in summer, by more than just a degree or two. I was not born here (grew up on L.I.), and used to travel a lot for work and saw a lot of places, but there is nowhere else I would want to settle: with the climate and the Sound and all the charming town greens, I think where we are is not a bad place to live. Hi all! Been meaning to post here for a while, but it seems there's always something conspiring to divert me anymore. If it isn't diabetic neuropathy and its minions, it's my MIL's medical problems, my SIL's frustrations, overall negative attitude, and lack of empathy, it's our autistic son's recent mystery gastric affliction with attendant vomiting and inability to keep down his meds (can we say "grand mal seizure") and yet another ambulance ride to the emergency room for IV meds, etc. - Yeah,...it definitely hasn't been boring around here lately, although we absolutely, totally wish it were otherwise. Anymore, Elly & I are thinking our son, Roy, may very well be suffering from constipation. Headache, stomach ache, nausea, lack of appetite, etc. Hospital tests couldn't find anything specific. No high temperature or elevated white blood cell count. --shrug-- To add to this, I have yet to properly acknowledge at least 4 wonderful individuals who have traded with me lately. OTOH, our container grown "Little Finger" carrots are doing nicely, and we've harvested some nice shallots, not to mention a continuous bounty of "Ever Bearing" and "Alpine" strawberries. So, I guess, it all kind of evens out, maybe, in a weird sort of way. - Looking forward to fullfilling the seed wishes of others! Totally jazz's me! :)

OH the dirt is wonderful...We have been here 17 years...and have never had a garden here...this is the space our boats used to be stored...we had to build a fence to hide them (per city code) or put them in storage...so we put them in storage ...lol...cause fence was just too expensive at that point....anyway...someone obviously had a garden here before cuase the ground is just WONDERFUL!.....oh and when I went to water this mornign? I have seedlings coming up everywhere! My fall garden is coming up!...wooohooo!!

Ok i'm new here and kind of new to gardening but being new here i have to ask what a SASBE is? I get he self addresses and envelope. also i'm wondering what seeds you have available. I would be more then willing to share what little sage seeds i have left as well as catnip which i have found having at the edge of y garden is a great way to keep my cat out of it. I also have about 15 sun flower seeds i can share with others.

I haven't heard back on this by email..... Did I somehow overlook an email or something? I'm usually pretty good by email, but who knows? I was very interested as a big time newbie back in Sept... Let me know if it was me overlooking something, as I would never want to dishearten those generous enough to offer seeds to the newbies!
