Who has experience with freeze damage?

I've been through plenty of damaging frosts but they all are different and I really don't have any kind of handle on assessing the damage because of all the variation.

This one came as J. plums were in full bloom and early peaches as well and I'm sure it got down to 26 and probably lower. Now several days later the blossoms look fine and the bees are swarming, especially around the aromatic J. plum blossoms.

On the morning of the freeze, the blossoms were frozen solid and I didn't expect anything open to stay on the trees, or to look perfectly normal several days later. Looking at dissected flowers without magnification, I see no browning.

I am suspicious of charts because they don't take into account duration of a freeze, and this one was particularly short, but when Penn State specialists speak of major apple blossom damage at higher temps from the same event it makes me think I must be delusional to be hopeful of plums and peaches this season.
