Is it true we have to wait 3 years to harvest new blueberries?

Hi-

We moved into a new house and are planning our garden. My daughter REALLY wanted to plant fruit trees, but since this is planned to be a 3-year house for us (we will likely move then) we decided against that for obvious reasons.

So we're considering other fruits instead. We were all excited about blueberries, but I just read that you should not let them set fruit until the 3rd year! Is that true?

What about raspberries or blackberries?

Can you recommend any other fruits that are fairly low maintenance that won't take 3 years to start bearing?

Thank you!
