Pullet eggs go to Food Pantry

I have too many pullet eggs. I have been giving them to friends at work but I think they are hiding when they see me coming lately. Recently our small town started a food pantry. They only have a budget of $1,000 a month to feed over 250 people. Last week I call the organizer and she said she would love our pullet eggs. This morning I packaged up 12 dozen eggs in clean cartons and dropped them off. There was a conciderable line and the pantry would not open for another 1/2 hour. The lady in charge gave me a phone number to call when I have too many eggs again. They offered space in their fridge until the next distribution day. As you know eggs will keep for more than a month when carefully cleaned and packaged.

Next time you find yourselves swimming in eggs, think of your local food panrtry or church. It will make you feel good to really give something needed!
