As far as how he got started....I'm pretty clueless, but the first thing was to pick your webhoster. There are millions of them. My FI picked one and bought our name "danandlyn.com" for the year (about $90). Then you work within your web hoster. They have things very set up for you. You don't have to do any programming or anything like that, but its not something you can do overnight. It took him lots of playing around to get things right. Overall, it took him over a month and lots of hours, but he really wanted to learn how to make a web page so he was motivated for more than one reason. Thanks for your comments!

It is Pokeweed - stem colour varies but the flower is unmistakeable. BTW Deadly Nightshade is not a Nicotiana species, it's Atropa belladonna, although it is in the Solanaceae. Many of the Google images are incorrectly labelled, usually erroneously showing Woody Nightshade.

Mary, If you want to get rid of it, your weeding forays must be more often than they are now. They may grow rapidly but no plant, as far as I know, goes to 4ft, blooms and sets seed overnight. How often are you pulling them? What ever the time span, go often enough to pull/dig at several inches. May need to be daily, at least for a while. Or paint those small plants with glyphosate every time you see them. Doing so helps speed the process of starving the roots.rhizomes.
