Yeah, both came in pots. I have temporarily buried the trees in the original pots(with the original soil in them) in the ground as I'm not sure if their current location is going to be their permanent location. Should I remove them from the pots? As for watering, its been between every 2-4 days, depending on how hot its been.

Matter: Were your Haralson sprayed with any pesticides? I ask because I also grow haralson. I use Imidan for insecticide but not on Haralson. Imidan is phytotoxic on Haralson. When I tried it on Haralson, I got lots of cracking/russeting and then ladybugs/wasps getting into the fruit. Now I bag all my Haralson and the fruit is nice.

A friend and neighbour has a bramley apple tree and she has a lot of apples that have fallen off. Mainly it was due to the heavy winds we had last week. She has never mentioned that they drop in june at all. She was saying they will be ready the beginning of September, but we also can take into account the really hot few weeks we have had. Maybe they thought they were ready now. I am also having problems with my apple tree (note the thread below yours) where the apples have all fallen off my cox orangepippin. I still think it could be the birds or squirrel dislodging them as it is always when they are first formed and maybe not strong enough to withstand little feet or beaks. I have two apple trees 8 yrs. old, different kinds and one healthy and one that does the same thing as yours(dwarf golden delicious). I have tried over the years to figure out what causes it. I do know once they are curled they won't uncurl. They both are treated the same. My husband even dug around it thinking some thing was wrong under ground, nope. I give it extra water every year ( thought it was an water issue)and it doesn't seem to matter. I also know that the apples on that tree get sun burned because of the leaf issue.
