L-shaped trunk on my loquat tree

I planted 3 loquats from seed last year. One died and one is almost 2 feet tall now.

But the middle-performer acted like it was going to die and fell over as a seedling, but then grew again. It is now about a foot tall and growing upward quite well. But the trunk is parallel to the ground at one point (this is the part you can see the roots coming out of), then the trunk makes a 90 degree turn and goes upward. So the tree looks a bit like the letter L.

Is this tree worth keeping? It is still less than a year old, can it be trained to bend correctly? Or will it always be weak?
