looking for some plout and plum scion wood

I just realized That Many good plouts are now off patent YAY! This means grafting time for me. Unforunatly I need some wood to graft with. Any one who has any plouts that are unpatented ( flavor supreme, flavor delight, flavor queen, and flavor king). Also I would like any plums that you have had success with pollinating your plouts. I am willing to trade for pear scion wood, pepper seeds or pay for them.

On my 3-in-1 pluot I have a huge sprout of Flavor Queen that I need to prune off, so I'll have some nice scions, if you want to e-mail me.

I have no idea if any of my other plums pollinize pluots, because my pluot tree also has Flavor Supreme (not enough for scions--sorry!) and Dapple Dandy (still patented I think) plus in spring I hand-pollinate from plums and apricots, just to be sure, and I get fruit on all 3. Who knows what does the trick??

alb, Raintree sells Golden Transparent Gage, Cambridge Gage, and Bavays Green Gage, all of which are not the original Green Gage. As I mentioned above, Golden Transparent Gage is a child of Transparent Gage aka Reine Claude Diaphane which is a child of Green Gage. They are not selling Reine Claude Doree which is what the French call Green Gage today. The naming is very confusing to say the least. Note that just because it is not the original doesn't mean it is not the best. Some California growers consider Bavays better than the original (but the French generally do not). Plums of New York considers Transparent Gage, the parent of Golden Transparent Gage, to be better than the original Green Gage, giving it a rating of Very Good to Best and rating the original "Very Good". My Golden Transparent Gage from Raintree has fruited and it is an excellent plum! Also the situation has gotten so messed up over the years because many mis-named Gage plums have been sold. Scott

Looking for sweet cherry scion wood for Spring

I have an emperor francis sweet cherry tree. It is the last of my sweet cherry trees left. The rest got destroyed by cherry leaf spot and root rot. Cherry trees are high maintenance because of the deer's preference for cherry, fungal diseases of the leaf and soil, japanese beetles, and the birds and squirrels at harvest. Cage it in with wire to stop the deer. Keep in mind that there are cherry plant patents in effect on many cherry varieties. Consider tart cherries they are a little easier for home gardeners to have a good crop.

Thanks Bon- when you talk about budding- are you referring to t-budding? if yes, should the buds be harvested from dormant wood or should the bud be harvested during growing season. if the latter, presumably, it could still survive 2-3 days in the mail if wrapped in moist paper? am happy to try and gaft using the budding technique. anyone willing to trade/sell me some budwood?

Looking for "My Jewel" apple scion wood for grafting

I am looking to graft some apple scions this year and want to try the My Jewel variety of apple. They are supposed to have a banana like taste. I have looked all over the net but am having a really hard time finding it. Does anyone have them or know where I can get some scions this spring? Does anyone know of any other types of apples that have a strange/different taste?
