Too cold to gather eggs for hatching?

goatman17

I've had chickens for about two years now and recently added a cock to the handful of hens (4) in my flock. Lately, I've thought of trying to incubate and hatch out a few "replacements" for the spring. My question is, "Can the eggs get too cold before I gather them to be of any use for this purpose?" (Today it was just starting to snow when I took them inside.)

I think this will be a wonderful experience for me and my children and any help with inexpensive incubator plans or general tips on this matter will be appreciated!
