Quick cantaloupe question (pics)

Hello all. I have never tried to grow hearts of gold cantaloupe before. I have noticed a lot of female flowers that have the little bud behind them, but the flower is dying. I am wondering if the flower is dying because it has already been pollinated or is it dying becuase it needed to have been pollinated and is now just dying? I have a lot of bees around the area lately and there has been a nice breeze for days on end. So hopefully they are already pollinated.

Also in the other pic, I have noticed a lot of ants on these plants. They seem to like the center of the flowers. Is this going to hurt anything? If so, what can I do organically?

Lastly, I finally have my first squash coming in... I cannot wait..

Thanks so much for any help...
