Lawn erosion problems...advise appreciated!

I recently had a 12' x 24' storage building constucted at the permiter of our 1 acre yard. It is situated right where our yard meets our 2 acrea heavily wooded area.

This was constructed last April. Due to the heavy constuction equipment, slight lawn deppresions developed in a certain area to the left of the building front. The depressions are barely noticable to the eye, evident in the lawn the erodes downhill. The "water channel" is very evident after a hard rain.

Yesterday, I "trenched" this channel and buried 4" perforated drain tail, which discharges into our woods. It is about a 60' run.

At the "start" of the drain tile, I dug a small pit and filled same with 1 to 1 1/2 inch meremac pebble rock. My hopes are that the water running from the depressions will enter this "pit," and then run through the tile and into the woods.

I did not cover the drain tile with rock (maybe I should have?)...it is simply covered with the trenched dirt.

I'll attach some pictures for reference.

The drainage runs from the left to the right, as you are facing the building.

I'm just seeking advise as to whether this will work, and any other thoughts for improvement. Also, do you think I should place some sort of mesh around the inlet of the drain tile?

By the way, the bluish/green stuff is "Scotts Patchmaster" as I'm trying to seed the general area as well.

Thanks everyone!
