Worst Part of Gardening

Yesterday marked the end of our cold snap. I am hoping it was the last vestiges of winter. Today I was able to go out and tend to my garden without freezing to death or being pelted with cold rain.

My cool weather plants were all put in at the beginning of April. Thankfully, the cold weather didn't seem to bother them.

Anyway, I planted some bean seeds, black eyed peas ("cowpeas"), and many other things. Around 2pm, I realized there was nothing else I could plant. I kept looking at every nook and cranny of my garden, and just couldn't find any more space. It was then I realized I had entered what I consider the worst part of gardening for me - the waiting. Sure I can go out and pull weeds, but that is not nearly so much fun as planting or even better harvesting. Eventually I will be able to pull up some of my cool weather plants and put something else there, but still not quite as exciting as planning out where everything should go in the garden.

What's the worst part of gardening for you?
