extra tomato plants

Hi all--

This year, I started my maters from seed, and the cat did not eat them, and nothing untoward happened to any of my seedlings. So, I had extras.

I happened to read my Freecycle e-mail yesterday, and someone was in dire need of food. So, in addition to giving her some canned/dry goods and frozen stuff, I asked her if she had room in her yard/garden for some tomato plants--turns out she does garden, but could not afford to buy tom seedlings, so I was able to give her my extras.

When I have had extra plants in the past, I have given them to family, friends, and neighbors (none who really seeme to want them). This year, I was able to give 4 seedlings to someone who needed them, could use them, and also knew how to take care of them. I feel truly blessed to have been able to have the opportunity to share my plants in this way!
