HI, i am a lurker who has a small vegetable garden. I am a fudger at best. I have a small onion crop and some are falling over and some are flowering. I know Falling over is a good sign that I should harvest soon. Should I harvest the flowering ones now or wait till they fall over? Flowering is never mentioned in the the info online that I have delved into. Do people just ignore that. I normally yank my leeks as they flower or the center becomes a stalk. These are short day onions. I am in central Texas.
