My Sweet Olive is Blooming!

Last spring I bought a tiny piece of sweet olive tree or bush off of Ebay from a seller.

It was really slow growing in it's container outside and I brought it in, in September so that it wouldn't get too cold at night outside.

It is still kind of on the small side in it's terra cotta pot that I have it in, but it must be happy.

I sat it in front of a window that receives full sun most of the day.

I smelled the fragrance before I even noticed the tiny little white flower buds on one of the stems. It smelled so good. I couldn't believe that such a little bit of flower bud would be so potent a smell.

I know it sounds silly, but I babied this little bit of olive branch twig and didn't really think it was big enough to bloom yet. If I am really lucky, it will bloom all winter in my cold dreary PA state of winter.(I hope it does)

I love container growing. I would never have been able to grow this plant where I live otherwise.

Well, just had to tell everyone.
