2011 Horseradish Root - Trade for Vegetable Seeds

I just dug some fresh horseradish root and have some of the less "pretty" ones available for another trade (all the best looking ones in the middle of the picture are going for a trade underway with Jesky and the one on the left is big enough for grinding).

If you've ever grown horseradish, it seems that any piece of root, perfectly straight and well formed or gnarled and ugly, will happily start another patch for you.

I have enough for two small trades -- each with two larger roots and two smaller roots (all have crowns) or one large trade. The roots will be vacuum packed and stored in the refrigerator until you are ready to take shipment.

I'm interested in most types of open pollinated vegetable crops -- check my profile for a more specific list.

I have some potato sets of Russian banana. Small Long very tasty spuds. Dh also has health issues 2 Cancers and a mitral valve failure. Cant fix because of the cancers. Look at my list if you would like to grow a few flowers. I have herbs as well just do not have them listed. Just ask I might have it. Good Growing it IS great for your well being.

I have two vacuum sealed bags packed and ready for shipment, each with (4) roots each. I will be working with the trade requests in the order posted above (except for one request I received by direct email received just after the first two on the forum).

Today I just sent vacuum packs to Jesky (the original trade), Grdngramma and Fluffybonbon. I ended up picking up the shovel again and finding enough nice roots with crowns for Debi too -- and will be working on completing a trade with her on that one soon. While I was out -- I also dug up some extra root and have a nice sized pack already sealed up for ONE last trade. These roots do NOT have crowns, but they are perfectly fine for propagating. You plant them a little differently and roots will start in multiple places along each root you plant (this is why you NEVER want to rototill a horseradish patch -- every little chunks comes back another root).

So if antiqueorchid wants these roots -- that cleans me out!

I had posted a request to be adopted as a newbie when I first joined -- but after this flurry of trades, I don't think that will be necessary. If all goes well, I think I'll have a great start!

This sounds promising, so I will give it a whirl.
I would love to trade for a small root if you had some more left the third time!
I have been up to updating my list for awhile.Most of my seeds are from trades last summer or older comm. seeds my mom gave me They have all been kept cool and dry.If you don't want any of those,I will have hubby pick up something you would like.

I seemed to have just missed out everytime, but I figured I'd post just incase you have any left-over or end up going out for a fourth time! I have lots of the vegetables that are on your trade list. If there is anything left over, let me know and we can set up a trade.
