Pavers--granite or concrete? Tough decision

I am about to install a new front walk, dry-laid pavers in a formal design. I have recently installed granite front steps. I live in MA, with natural granite outcroppings and granite fieldstone walls so the material "fits" the landscape, designed and natural.

The cost of granite tho is a little terrifying. The contractor is getting impatient as I can't decide on granite for the walkway--so expensive--or the concrete pavers that imitate granite. Some of these are pretty good-looking--but they are not "real". But everybody is using them now.

What do you know about concrete pavers? I have combed Garden Web for info but can't get info on how long these things last. They all seem to be relatively recent installations. I have also been told that they fade and stain. Is this true? The cost is so much cheaper that it's a real temptation--and the contractor is very eager to use them. Opinions?
