planting corn in the wild?

I've run out of land to plant on. But there is some abandoned woods near me. Some of it is wet and swampy, some is near creeks and some dry and sunny spots.

I've got a few pounds of corn seeds sitting around that I had leftover from grinding, so thought I'd try planting it in the wild. Would corn planted in this way do better in wet, semi swampy places to get water? Or should I try the dry places?

The other issue is the deer. We have lots of them and wonder if it is worth planting the corn or will I just be feeding the deer and not myself?
