i need advice about planting narcissus bulbs indoors..

i have never planted bulbs before and this is my first year in portland oregon (zone 8) where i've been told anyone's thumb can turn green.. i bought 5 small narcissus bulbs (like "paper whites" i think, only these are yellow ones) and was told to plant them together in a pot. how big must this pot be because i have a terracotta pot that is about 6" in diameter & 7.5" tall.. is this big enough? i know that you're supposed to crowd them together but i do not know just how (much) to do so- all in a bunch level with one another or some deeper than others, as long as they're not overlapping? (i read they should be two-times as deep as the bulb is in size)

any advice would be great, thanks
