Comments (4)I recently bought a variegated Star Jasmine (3 wks back)and the same thing happened to me. It lost all its buds/flowers and dropped quite a few leaves..I've since placed in an upstairs bathroom, west window and since discovered new growth..Patience is the key..Once you find 'the' spot, keep in the same place..don't move around. Since Jasmine likes humidity, and sun, I found placing in the bathroom w/other jasmines does the trick. Make sure the soil you repotted in isn't too heavy..even though jasmines like semi-moist soil during flowering, they don't like constant wet feet. I'm into misting, so when not in flower/bud they get a daily misting, plus when I'm in the shower, I reach out, grab a plant and hose under water..this helps w/humidity and keep leaves clean..I do NOT believe in using leaf shine..Give the plant time and it should do well. Comments (5)Pot is still the original plastic pot, placed in a nicer pot in my landscape. Not sure if correct, but I was told at the nursery that this pot is 'root bound' and doesn't mind staying in the same pot (so, the soil is the original soil). Should I remove and plant in pot? Should I add tropical soil? This will be an annual plant for me because of my zone. No, I haven't fertilized it. I have some slow release annual fertilizer, not sure if that is OK to use with this plant. I water every other day (sometimes every day), and when I do, I realize the soil is dry on the top. Less frequent? Thanks for the help and tips...See MoreWhat is wrong with my Star Jasmine Bonsai?
Comments (1)This isn't a plant I know well, but would try to find the sunniest, warmest spot. While cooler & missing so much sunshine during winter, keeping it moist could lead to rotting roots. I don't see any mealybugs from this pic. Pest damage on a leaf is permanent, so looking at the new foliage would be the best indicator to see if it's now going to grow normally. Thrips can also cause that kind of deformation of leaves. Best vibes!!...See Moreoxboy555
