Bugs on Jalapenos - help!

There is some little white fuzzy bugs as you can see. They fly away when I try to wipe them off then return! Help!

White flies possibly but could also be several other things. Without knowing your location or at least your garden zone there is no way to know if it is too early or not for them in your location or what might be in season.

You can Google white flies for lots of pics to compare to yours. Aphids is another possibility.

Either way they are not what did the damage to the back leaf in the picture.

I agree, Stoney, that they look like cherry peppers that I have seen photos of. Wish they were, too. But they are exactly what I bought, regular jalapenos, when I was too impatient to find the bigger jalapenos. Well there is always next year--or I may give a look in nearby nurseries for a hot cherry plant.

Maybe aphids? Are the plants inside or out. I have aphid problems on inside plants but the problem disappears once they get outside. In side I use ladybugs. john

I've never had bugs bothers my peppers before. Any idea what it could be? I've fought vine borers in my Zukes & Summer Squash but never peppers, Some cultivated crops subject to infestation include corn, cotton, potato, tomato, alfalfa, rye, barley, pepper, spinach, beet, and sugarbeet.
