Looking for the following

- Old or new if you have a spare daylily and or iris catalogs NOT the pamplets , I really need DL catalogs.

- metal plant labels / multiples of 24 or so , I need lots!

- water and weatherproof markers

- plant tags and wide ribbon (colored) that comes on a roll, used to tie and for marking cultivars.

- and lots of other garden/plant marking related

materials, let me know what you got!

I have many daylily catalogs (most from this year-but maybe some from last season..as I belong to AHS)
I can get the inch wide plastic tape for tagging. I use the light green--but there are other colors (orange, yellow etc)
I am interested in: Lavender Heartthrob, Newts' Folly, Zella Virginia, Pink Fanfare,Brocaded Gown and Prince Michael (I am in zone 5-any info on his EV hardiness.
Will get the names of catalogs to you tomorrow.

I only have bags of worm castings to trade. I raise bait/composting worms. We bought this small farm and I want to plant all kinds of plants, flowering & foliage. I'm also trying to get a butterfly & hummingbird garden going. Please email me @ wonderworms@yahoo.com if you would be willing to trade daylilies for castings.

For years I have had a couple of daylilies, and have never done anything with them except to let them grow. The only one that I can identify is Hyperion, which is noted to be 42" in height. It is clear yellow, no other markings, and I believe it is Wayside Gardens that says it is the yellow that all others can be compared to. I will tell you the roots are NOT great, because they have never been divided, but I did divide some of them this late August, and they are sending up new growth. The only other thing I have is seeds of Basket of Gold Alysseum. I am looking for multi-colored daylilies, with wavy edges, similar to Lori Goldston which is on the back page of Dutch Gardens Spring 2005 catalog. Prefer no reds. Love yellows and pinks. Will pay postage if you have some you would like to move.

Little old but if you are still looking I highly recommend Forest Farms. Plants are very reasonable (IMHO) and mind have always arrived heathly. Shipping can be a little on the high side but from the quality of the plants I've received I feel it's worth it. You can find them @ Forestfarms.com

Hello everyone! You girls out east can just keep the snow there. Cool pics, Dawn! It is cold here but we only had snow flurries yesterday. Most of the old snow is gone. Remember what they say about March...In like a lion...Out like a lamb. We can hope for that, right? Marea: Those are sure pretty little flowers! Anita: I love your Brug. I had to do a double take...I have some pots just like that. Usually have hostas in mine though! Canna: If you have any hellebore seedlings left save me a few too. I think some of them are hardy through zone 4? Maybe in a sheltered spot? Maybe you know? I just hate it when my washing machine breaks down! Cute pic of the little "artists" painting the step stool! ??Like mother like daughter/son??? In our local shopper yesterday one of the stores showed a really cool arbor/bench for the garden "on sale". I went to check it out and they did not have one on display, so I asked a clerk. She must have thought I was crazy asking for that in Feb! Said I should check back in a few weeks!I must have spring fever bad! I got the seeds Shirley! I took this advice yesterday, and I want to second it! Cottage Gardens was beautiful, Brent and his workers were very helpful and patient. I did not realize that while you are waiting for them to dig out the day lilies you've chosen, you can stroll the display gardens, which are separate from the day lily fields. The bunches of lilies are large and healthy, certainly worth the very reasonable prices. If you're looking for a nice little day trip in the next couple of weeks, go on over there and take a look. Better make sure you've got some extra cash with you - there are over 2000 varieties of day lilies to choose from, and they are all so incredibly beautiful, it is very difficult to limit yourself. I wound up giving myself a few early birthday presents because I just couldn't choose!

Do you want the mini-blind type of markers? I can send those and have small 3x3 in. plastic bags for seed collection.AlsoI have some copper plant/stakes/tags and I have some ceramic markers.

these have 2 stakes but ones with a single stake are fine too, that is what I had . Just as long as the metal label part is attached as I saw some sell just the stake. That way I can write on the plant names.

To all : Also the White T-/stake plastic labels are fine, too. These are the white heavy plastic ones Park Seed sells them , they are 6 to 8 inches high and 2 inches wide at the label part or so. And cheap 50 for around 7.00. As well as the Industrial Markers by Sharpie, they are water/weatherproof and cost 2.39 for a pack of 3 at our Lowes here
