Miss Daisy, I would really like to have a few of your seeds. I have just recently retired and for the first time in my life feel like I have time to do flower beds in my yard. I have always loved to do vegies, but an new to flowers. I would really like some of your hot pink-kiss me over the garden gate and red butterfly bush, if they are still available. Others that I would like to try are: Fern leaf bleeding heart, Candle bush, feaverfew, white cosmos. celome luta,yellow beef plate, blackberry lily,red castor bean mixed dilia or purple basil. I am creating a tropical garden here in the PNW. I have a couple of brugmansias, some cannas, and an elephant ear. I would like some passion vine, and anything else that would add that tropical touch.

Hi VLRON.... I know it's been awhile since you have posted this thread on Garden Web but I thought I'd give you a try. I did a search on "sweet shrub" which is how your post came to the top. A few years ago I moved from Florida (one too many hurricane) and just settled in Missouri. In my Florida gardens I had a sweet shrub growing which I loved. I haven't been able to find any sweet shrubs here locally. Any chance you would part with a few little starts or maybe cuttings that I could possibly root? I would be more than happy to pay postage for them or trade. Don't have a whole lot to offer at the moment other than lots of Christmas cactus cuttings in red and pink/white, and/or rootings from a plant that I don't know the name of....it's a tropical and when you run it through you hand or brush up against it has a pleasant cinnamon type scent. This is a plant however that would have to be brought in during the winter but looks great in a pot as it has alot of foliage. Great for shade patio or decks. If this is something you are interested in by all means shoot me an email. If not, no need to reply...totally understand as your post is from last year.

I joined this community a week ago and I love it. I was living in Boston up until a year ago. For the FIRST time in my life I have a yard (not blacktop). I started planting a few things and now im hooked. Lets just say I dont fit thecommon gardening demographic, so my friends from the city give me a hard time. I like my new neighborhood, but my neighbors judge books by their covers. This is why I love this community so much. Its a place where regardless of our apperances we share a common intrest.

Anyway........................ I would really appreciate it if someone would adop my garden so that i can plant all types of things and watch them grow. I know tyhat once my garden gets bigger i will help newbies like myself. I'm not good with the names of plants (google images is my best friend) but I know I have tons of orange day lilies.
