Is it too late to start seeds?

I regret that I did not spend any time in my Greenhouse this year starting seeds, and that my entire garden (aside from garlic and onions, strawberries and some chard) are store bought!!!

I'd love to get in some different pepper varieties and some other squash and probably more chard. I think that most of these would be fine here planted for later crops. How much lead time will I need to get these ready for the garden? 4-6 weeks (for the peppers/chard) maybe 3-4 weeks for the squash (a week or so to germinate, then a transplant up and then hardening off and out)? which would put stuff out say first part of June or so?

I think this would be fine. I have even put out tomatoes as late as July and still harvested fruit before the early frosts got them.

What say ye?
