What a beautiful yard you have!
Why not use one of the 2 "fencing" options you already have in place? To my eye, the lovely and unusual deck railing would make a great trellis enclosure with a non-aggressive vine to cover the spaces between the rails though you might want to use the white fencing since it's the closest to the pool equipment.

Remove the gravel, plant grass around it, and paint it a green color.

Plant some other mid height shrubs nearer the treeline to create another more interesting foreground for the treeline.

What I see is, in your lovely yard, you have a large gravel area that itself is unattractive, and this gravel area is much larger and more intrusive than the equipment itself warrants. There is no reason to "connect" the pool equipment area to the white fence by extending gravel there.

The second thing, that rhodium brings up, is to decide whether you are going to create a flower-covered blob of pool equipment that becomes an actual focal point, or just make your pool pump a little less obvious and then design a garden, a shrubbery, or other focal point in the best area for serving on its own as a focal point and putting what you want there to look at.

There is a 3rd option, which is sort of a combo the 2 above--use some bit of additional camoflage around the equipment, but let that be more neutral and just be something that fades into the background behind a separate and more "foreground" planting or structure.

Just to clarify, the area is surrounded by mulch, not gravel....it's just a little old as we haven't re-mulched yet this year.

I especially like the idea of just ignoring the equipment by planting grass around in and maybe just a couple of mid-height shrubs in front. Inexpensive too!

If you do keep a bed there, I'd change the shape of the bed so the corners are rounded. The square corners look less natural, I think.

If you decide to keep the bed extending to the pool fence, I'd curve the flagstone path so it's less obviously for access to the pool equipment. Make it seem more like a shortcut across the peninsula bed, then add a couple of flagstones for access from the middle of the path to the equipment, and camouflage those flagstones with a couple of small shrubs.

Lovely trees! I second rhodium's suggestion of adding shrubs at the treeline.

How about building a gazebo over the equipment. raise it off the ground so that the gazebo has a nice view of the pool and the woods. Trellis the bottom, and include a door to the area underneath.

You have a very beautiful lawn, what I will suggest is what everyone else said, get rid of the gravel and have grass there, the gravel is very un-attractive. paint the pool equipment green so it king of blends in, fence it. If you do not have proper equipment to do the job get some from landscape equipment for sale to do the job. Do post pictures when you are done.
