Have : Passion Flower vine

Hi everyone ! I have a couple passion flower vines coming up in my flowerbed after moving most of them last year ... anybody want to trade for them ? I would love some black eyed susans , any kind of daisy or ... what do you have ? ;-) Let me know !

PS I also have some redbud seedlings that I need to get out of my flowerbed and a few small mums ( can't remember what color ) that need thinning !

I would love some of your mums...I have iris in dark purple, pale blue and maroon with pink I can trade.

Do you happen to know what kind of passion flower vine you have?

new to the site and to gardening, I have some yellow canna, so yellow and wine colored daylillies, so mint plants that I can send small cuttings of, but most of my plants are not ready to be split until next spring. I can pay for postage through paypal. The passionflower is one that I have waiting for to do with my garden design for my new cottage garden. My zip code is 70431.

I've linked a picture of my rearing box. I just brought home 4 GF cats from a local nursery that was almost out of plant leaves to feed them...I use a clear small file box with small $1 vases I bought at 'Wallyworld' to keep the cuttings alive for the cats. I've raised cats of all kinds for the last 5 years in a couple of these file boxes & I use plastic screening you can buy & cut between the lid & the top of the box to prevent escapees! I usually don't bring in eggs unless the wasps are every where! This was the first year I brought in eggs as well as very small cats because there were so many wasps! Hope this helps! There are so many types of passion vines and only a few of them are worth eating. The tropical purple ones are the most popular for drinks (Parcha if you shop the hispanic food store) and there is a giant yellow one that has a lot of flavor. Some of them are just better at giving you a tropical aroma rather than being very tasty. Most of them have a lot of gooey jelly around the seeds - not the texture that most people enjoy.

Do you know what it is? Species or hybrid? Where did you get it? Was it grown from seed? Sometimes seedlings from certain crosses will do this and never bloom. It could also be due to maturity, heat, or fertilizer issues. Do you fertilize it? Too much nitrogen could also be an issue.

did you put root horomone on them first?? then in the soil?? i have rooted in both. but i like the soil, then filtered light and misted. same with confederate jasmine if i was to give it a try. i'd also use stay green aqua control soil. don't know why but for me that stuff is awesome!! ~Medo

The passion flower vines have all found a good home ;-) will repost if more " stray " vines show up LOL ...
