Is black locust wood safe to use near vegetables?

I'd like to build some raised beds for my vegetable garden and I know that black locust wood is highly rot resistant, but do the natural toxins in the wood that make it rot resistant also make it unsafe to use near vegetables? I obviously don't want toxins leaching out of the wood and into my veggies. :(

Thanks,

Steve
