Full sun is generally described as 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. You'll be on the low end of that scale, but it should be fine. Your plants might be a bit leggy and production might be a bit less than usual, but I think it will be enough to get some nice veggies.

If you're surrounded by pine trees, you've got a free source of mulch! Pine needles make an excellent mulch.

You might also consider what the direction/time of the light is. If it is 6 hrs of afternoon sun then it should be fine, but if it is early morning sun it your plants might struggle.

Is that 5-6 hours when the sun is at it's zenith - mid-June on - or might you get more then? Is it possible to increase the sun exposure in any way by shifting the garden even a bit since more would definitely be better? Containers for the tomatoes? If not, then you'll have to make do with what you can get. You could always erect some sort of reflective barrier on the one side to increase the sun exposure. Some use Celotex with its aluminum side and some use wood painted white. ;) Good luck.

I have an area on the west side of my garage that begins to get sunlight around 1 pm. I've planted tomatoes in this spot for two years and they grew very well - with about 50+ pounds from four plants. So that is about six hours of sunlight a day.

I also grew some cucumbers in this area and they did alright, but they didn't produce as well (may have been a disease or something as last year was the first year for cucumbers).

I also planted peas in the area last year and they grew very well without trouble.

This area was expanded a bit this year although I'll be putting in onions, peas, cucumbers, lettuce, and potatoes in this area.

That's more sun than I got last year. And I was able to grow the same stuff you're growing. Most of it seemed to do alright. And what didn't, was planted too late, so I can't blame it on the sun. You might get more sun than you think though. I was looking through some pines to see how much my new spot gets. And they weren't blocking as much as I thought.
