Easiest way to cut a plastic bin?

Well, since the Container forum is slow, I'd better post this here, too, if I want an answer in a reasonable amount of time.

I have a 30-gallon Sterilite bin that I want to cut in half the long way. It's heavy-duty plastic, with approximate dimensions of 24in W x 16in D x 17in H. I'm aiming for two rectangular halves that will be 8.5 in deep.

The tools we have available are a box cutter, cordless scissors that do a pretty good job of cutting heavy-duty plastic wrap packaging, a circular saw, and a soldering iron. (I thought I'd use the soldering iron to melt drainage holes in them.)

What would you recommend for cutting this bin, either from what we have or something else?
