overwintering in zone 5 or less-what successes?

I see a few posts about specific plants, but thought it would be nice to gather experiences with a variety of annuals/tender perennials in one place.

To start, here is what I've had luck with:

In pots, in the cool basement, without watering:

sweet potato

callas

dahlias

amaryillis

verbena

In pots, in front of window (including a north window)

geraniums

begonias

chinese maple

fuchsia

tradescantia

verbena

scaevola

sweet potato

mandevilla

hibiscus

and another lovely plant with blue, small, morningglory-like flowers I don't know the identity

I've had no luck with calibrachoa, african daisy, gazania, sedge (from an end of season "color pot" from bigbox store), or nepeta, among others I can't think of now.

Gladiolus I leave in the ground, even though it is not supposed to be hardy here, and they do just fine.

I don't use any artificial lighting for my keepers.

What about you?
