Could I use some coleus leaves in small bouquets?

I normally never buy annuals, as we are in zone 5a & they are too expensive for my tastes if they don't return. I am obviously new to coleus. My neighbor showed me how to take a cutting and how to root it in water over the winter so that I could replant it in the spring. I remember my mom used to do the same thing, though she never showed me how.

I do sell many medium-sized mixed perennial/lily/rose bouquets in the summer for occasions like birthdays, thankyou gifts, showers/parties, etc. I LOVE using other perennial/shrub foliage for these bouquets....and I love UNUSUAL/COLORFUL foliage.

It may be a far cry, but would some coleus or caladium varieties work for use once in awhile in some of my smaller arrangements? Obviously, I wouldn't use too many leaves from each plant, or they wouldn't have the energy to survive. Would the foliage wilt too quickly (I do use floral food).

Thanks! Phyl
