Sun or shade for Resurrection lilies?

I dug up some Surprise lilies, Lycoris squamigera, from my mother's yard in Wisconsin. She always called them Amaryllis, Resurrection lilies, or Naked Ladies. They are solid pale pink. I can't remember when they bloom in my zone (5), or which comes first, the flowers or the leaves. They had leaves when I dug them 2 weeks ago. It was probably the wrong time to dig them, but I didn't know when I'd get back and the house is for sale. I heeled them in but will plant them as soon as I know where.

Tell me what conditions they like. They were in growing in shade, but were probably originally in sun before the trees grew too much. I don't have much sun but do have bright shade and part shade.
