Getting geraniums to re-flower

mike48858

I purchased some geranium plants at a nursery clearance sale. The plants had good foilage, but the blooms were fading fast. When I transplanted, I removed the old blooms and watered-in well using transplant fertilizer. A month has passed now, and the plants are very lush, but there is still no signs of new flower shoots.

The fertilizer is Miracle Grow Transplant Fertilizer (4-12-4). I says it helps new transplants develop strong root systems. I don't think the problem is too much nitrogen causing excessive foilage growth.

So, why aren't my geraniums flowering? What can I do to help them along?

Thank you for you help.
