all my white daffodils turned to yellow. they all look the same . Can someone explain this to me please.

With about 35 tries at T-budding I am running very close to a success rate of just under 1%. I graft by cutting diagonal slices from my root and scion and tape them together. I have about a 5% success rate and I quit grafting 10 years ago and grow from seed, with great success. John Its good that when you grafted your guru to your company that the scion took so well. There are many of us that only get to dream of grafting as well as you did. You have out done Houdini. I have a very high respect for you and your accomplishments even if you don't believe in G.D.G.W. -- -- -- LOL. Mean while I am going to see my "2 PT 1 meiwa, 2 nagami, and 1 hardy chicago fig" trees change ownership to a much more skilled tropical plant grower than my self. Axier I agree with you. Since you mention several months time frame, it's possible that they were actually affected by the big cold front that came in early March in your area. 4 of them already look like the color of fading blooms. However, you can keep them on as long as the bloom stalk is still healthy looking and it could be that in your local area, they will still be coming up (though I have seen many people's daffodils already in bloom, but I can't say if yours are late since there are daffodils with different bloom times)

It just so happens I am doing a presentation on daffodils for our Garden Club and have a ton of info on them, have you heard of daffodil blindness, it can result in pale or lack of blooms? you may want to look at this info. What is daffodil blindness? Also as a caution all parts of the daffodil are quite poisonous so be careful having them around animals or children and if adding them cut to a vase do not put other flowers in the same water for at least 24 hrs. And one interesting tidbit if closed in a room with certain daffodils they can cause bad headaches or migraines. The sap and green parts can also cause skin irritation, called daffodil itch, florist can have problems from handling them.
