Hey Suzanne! It must have been the car talk that lured you back here. I could go on & on about POS cars. The VW with "heating" was a wonderful thing to behold. Even better when it was a VW van - remember those? The "heater" would get the driver & passenger warm - well eventually anyway, but back in the back of the van it just remained frigid. However, the best POS car was my mom's 1964 Chevy Malibu. It had power nothing & drove like a tank. I learned how to drive on it as did my brother. We called it "The Bear" because that's what it was like to drive it. However, it did have one redeeming feature - it always started no matter how cold the weather got in Chicago. In the infamous winter of 1978 - 1979 my parent's other two cars gave up the ghost in the cold, cold weather, but The Bear started every morning with hardly a sputter. Now it did have some rust problems. In fact a hole had rusted through the back seat floor board & my dad had put the bottom of a broken snow shovel over the hole. Finally in April when things had started to melt, he was driving down the street & heard a load BANG. The floorboard had rusted through around the snow shovel & the darn thing had fallen out onto the street! Dad then decided that it was time for The Bear to go. However, it didn't go to the junkyard. He sold it to some 16-year-old greaser for $100 & that kid drove it around town for another 4 or 5 years!

Hi Ann, There are no dumb questions. There might be a dumb answer every now and then! ;0) Betsy's right about both. You certainly can cross evergreen and dormant daylilies but there is no way to predict the foliage habit of the seedlings, unless you have lots of experience with the parents already. It just depends on which genes dominate. Sometimes siblings will have different habits. For instance, Tim Bell's SISTER OF PRAISE and SYMPATHY OF PRAISE are sibs, but have opposite foliage habit. The hybridizer must evaluate their seedlings over a period of time in which the foliage habit will be determined. Sometimes the habit will change depending on where the plant is grown. That's probably why the term semi-evergreen was coined. The plant acts like an evergreen in the south and a dormant in the north. Hope this helps, Ed

My one year old english bulldog has weekly puppy play dates with another Eng. Bully.They bark at each other all the time. Tootsie likes to run up onto chairs or tables and Lulu sits on the ground barking at her to come play. they're talking. They actually get quite vocal. And their playing looks rough to me with all the biting but you can see they are enjoying themselves. They run around the yard chasing each other. Lulu goes and gets tootsies toys and drop them in front of her to get her attention. They were even playing tug of war today with the rope. I think as a dog owner you can recognize when your dog is playing or when she is getting mad.

Others can correct me if I am wrong but I thought when looking at those that the ones that could also be top mounted had a wider lip all around the sink. No problem if you have a large sink base, but it takes more room in an undermount situation and you may not be able to fit quite as large a sink in the same base with those. Sue
