Chill or not to chill; that is the question

Hello, I am a first time bulb gardener. Last week , as a result of an impulse purchase, I acquired some hyacinths, daffodils, and crocus. I am in Houston, and everything I have read about chilling really confused me. My fridge is not big enough to store all these bulbs and my unheated garage never gets cold enough. So what do you recommend to a southern gardener? Should I treat them like annuals, plant them right away and enjoy the flowers for one season? Will they flower if they are not chilled? Thank you all in advance.
