Thanks for the reply. I kept on trying with different approaches, but none of my attempts had lead to rooting. With regards to medium, I tried different mixes of vermiculite, perlite and potting soil. Tried two different kinds of rooting hormones. Tried different lengths of cuttings. (What length do you use?) Tried to remove some of the leaves. Tried with and without bottom heat and different levels of natural sunlight - I even tried artificial plant lighting! What happens is that the cuttings quickly drop most of the leafs and slowly turns brown from the bottom. I keep the cuttings in a humid box. As you perhaps can tell - I'm terribly frustrated. However, just as stubbarn. So, could you perhaps post a picture of your setup? Maybe that'll inspire me towards a succesfull process. Best regards, A

Hi Since my entire lot is only 75x100 and had a mature landscape when we moved in ,has been a problem from the start.lol The only plant left from the original is a shefflera the only reason it's still there is the roots are approaching china and requires no care except to whack it down lol I'd say I've changed the entire yard about 15 times in the last 30 more since I retired lol. I still like the specialized grow areas the best ,shadehouse for epiphytes,3 ponds and a marsh garden and I'm still trying to grow stuff in the aviary. yes the birds do most of the pruning but they have no sense of form and they hate flowers lol lol It seems that the plants I like the best are those that require the most maintenence lol Since you seem to be into Salvia I was recently given a type without a tag . It mounds and has very deep cobalt blue flowers and has a very pleasant aroma to the foliage. You know the name of this one?? I love blue flowers lol Thanks gary

7' away from the window is way too far, that is why it is leggy. Mine are kept in as much sun as possible (after being acclimatized), outside during warm weather. You didn't post better photo...but all stretched parts should be pruned off. They do not 'shrink even if given best light after growing in darker conditions. So you need to look at your plant and decide where to cut. You can plant few together if you wish - I prefer 1 plant/pot. This plant grows more tree-like, and many stems in same pot could interfere with each other. You could grow "jade forest" but it really requires good light and lots of care. This is bonsai style, looking really great if properly cared for: See how straight trunks are? And they are slightly tapered. They are also of different height. Branches and leaves are purposely pruned to achieve the look. Typically, they will grow more 'crooked' by trying to get out of the way. BUT they will grow. Looks like you have multiple stems right now? Do you like the look? Aim for healthy plant(s) with stronger stems/trunks; better color and (usually) larger leaves that grow closer. That will happen only if there is proper/more light.

I thought I’d share a bit of an update! I decided to trim my mint plant 1-2 weeks ago, and it slowly starting to look more decent. Although I have noticed a few grouped leaves with white spots, and some others with brown. Does that mean anything in particular? :/ I also find that the overall green color of the plant is a bit on the pale spectrum, a green almost like an unripe lime.. Unless that is a characteristic to this specific mint specie? After some research, I did fertilize it for the first time last week, but it did not change anything that I can see, yet. And I may as well mention that before trimming, I happened to remove a few yellowing leaves on several occasions.
