Help with Fukien Tea bonsai

I need help with my Fukien Tea Bonsai, purchased August 2013 at Chicago Midwest Bonsai show at Chicago Botanic Gardens.

This is my first indoor bonsai. I have several outdoor maples that I have had for over 15 years.

The tea tree was vibrant, blooming, producing berries until mid December 2013. It may have been over-watered in late December. It was left in a tray of water covering the bottom third of the pot for a week when out of town. Soil would have stayed saturated for that week. It was in a south facing window. After that week, I let it dry out and have kept it at a more normal moistness, Leaves have been getting stiff and falling off. I am hoping to save it.

It has lost more than half of its leaves. Remaining leaves are stiff/not pliable.

It stays in a south facing window. Direct sun when sunny outside, otherwise "bright" on overcast days.

I can share more photos with close-ups if needed.

Any advice on how to save it would be appreciated.
