I'm sorry Jsk but the gas station price did exist and therefore it's reality. If they ever find just one Big Foot they existence and becomes a reality. Now because I'm a skeptical individual I often search for proof on many news stories and confirm the alleged claims, it's just what I do. Through other sources such as Newsweek, the today's show, New York Post, SFGATE, MSN and many many more, and confirmed by gasbuddy the price did exist.

So if you desire to damn Fox you should also Damn the rest. A bias view of the world doesn't make a person smarter, it only makes them dumber than rock, thick as a plank, brain dead. There are a lot of brainless rocks living in a plank box on these pages.

Nicole, I am so sorry. That is rotten! The little dog would have had such a good home with you.

All of my animals have been rescues. Last year I took in three dogs....a very old senior, an orphan puppy that I raised on the bottle, and a puppy that would have died if someone had not intervened. All I do is take care of animals. Right now I am raising two kittens on a bottle, taking care of a wild baby rabbit that my dog caught....it miraculously survived and is doing well. They are very hard to raise because they stress easily and that alone is enough to kill them. Also getting a new kill pen horse this weekend.

I hope you find a dog....cats and dogs can get along fine together.

As you're scanning the online profiles, look for a beached whale. He's been the best!!

And I know his toenails are a little long. We need a vet visit for that.

HU-127064464 I messaged her DD and let her know about this thread.

Yes Marilyn, Carol was the one that traveled with Nita in her RV many times. We met up with Patti 43 for a KT lunch many years ago at Patti's House.

I also added Carol to the Empty chair page. 10. The Empty Chairs (weebly.com)

I've been here since '99 or 2000. I remember most of the names you posted.

If you click on the Internet Archive link I posted above, you can click through the links and browse old pages from various dates and see all those long ago names...

Here's Sep. 2004...

Seeing the old format is a blast from the past too 😀

P.S. Some of the posts are archived too, but not all, so when you click on some of them you can read them.

Not sure when I first joined Gardenweb - I miss it. I much preferred it to what is now the discussion forum of HOUZZ. So much arrogance and snark here now. Nothing like it used to be.

I just don't get it! The say they still love each other. They sit there holding hands through the interview. They are putting in on their family is why they are going their separate ways. No way would I leave the man I love because of anyone. Thats a bunch of BS! Hard to believe anything anymore.

i'm surprised it took this long for them to split the sheets. 🙄

the whole "bachelor" franchise is a train wreck. what self-respecting woman thinks it's ok for the man she's madly in love with to be bumping uglies with other women??

Best one recently while out crawling ye ole antique mall. A ziplock baggie had a weird strand of beads and a pair of little blue enamel clip on earrings. For one dollar. Ok, the earrings were cute even if the beads turned out to be a dud. The beads were indeed a dud out of the bag. But the earrings turned out to be sterling silver artist ones worth around 40 bucks. I'm keeping them because they are cute and comfortable. But 40 dollar sterling earrings for a buck is a steal :)

My daughter works for a company that sells all kinds of lenses, and she sent me several pair. I am happy to pass them to someone who can use them.

Alisande - we were at our place in PA for the weekend. We dropped DS off at Silver Lake in Dingman's on Friday for opening day of trout season and then picked him up on Monday. We had planned on watching the eclipse there with his college buddies so I ordered 10 pair. The first 15 minutes were great. Then the clouds rolled in and .....nothing. So disappointing.

That's a shame, Maire_Cate. My grandsons were psyched to watch it, and we had sunshine until about 2:00 p.m. Didn't expect those clouds.

There was a recall on some of the glasses as not being verified as safe. Also we did not look at the sun for very long but maybe 5-10 seconds at a time and then we looked away even with the glasses. During maximum, it was weirdly colored outside too...it was still bright, but a tad green-grayish ... a different hue. Stunning to see how bright it was outside with only 5% of the sun exposed.

Finally finished....and I can't remember what day....because I have lost track of time. I had to make 2 trips back to get 2 of my cats that had been underfoot, but all at once decided to hide. It was exhausting to drive 170 miles to get them, get one, turn around and drive home, and repeat the next day. I was by myself, so no help driving when I got tired. I was afraid I would never get her, but the 2nd trip, she was ready to go.

Then I had company here for 3 days...they just left yesterday. It wasn't like I had to entertain her, but it is tiresome to have someone here who thinks they are helping. I don't want or need help and I am very particular about how I want things done, and, I really just want to be by myself for awhile.

The next to the last day of moving, I had given her one of those porcelain topped kitchen tables. Probably from the 1940's. Carrying it out of the house....it had rained and was very muddy, and mud on the stepping stones, and I slipped down and landed on my back, hitting a concrete pad. I am so sore from that. I feel a little better, once I am up and moving, but it has really put a damper on anything I have to do around here.

It has been a challenge finding anything I need. Boxes were labeled. But stacked with no rhyme or reason by my helpers.

Jody's deckhand is here, but they have been gone all day. Had to go back to take care of some business. Left early. I got up at 7...my horses were out. And the hose that I use to fill water troughs, sprung a leak. I can't unscrew any of them...been hooked together so long.

Jody just got home, so if I think of anything else, will add it later.

After my Dad died, we were all at our parent's house and my sister had been going through some stuff on a book shelf. Mom wanted a picture that was there but we could not find it anywhere. We took that whole bookshelf apart looking for this photo but it wasn't there. About a week or so later, there it was, right where we had all been looking. Strange!

In a home that my sister rented with her family, they had things move in front of them. They had a dining chair slide across the floor and a knick-knack flew across the room of my two nieces while they were in there. It was a really old home. They aren't the type to make things up either, they are very very religious.

When I was young and still living at home we had a poltergeist like yours, Marilyn. Things would go missing and turn up in weird places- a hairbrush behind the radiant bar of an electric heater, my glasses behind a shelf full of books etc.

Just after I graduated high school my girl friend came to stay and when we went to shower before dinner she laid her new wristwatch, a graduation gift, in the middle of her bed so it wouldn’t get lost. When we came back it was nowhere to be found. We even felt the whole bed to be sure we just didn’t see in on the pattern of the bedspread.

I stood in the middle of the room and announced to the empty air that if the watch wasn’t back by the time we got back from dinner, I would be marching down to the local monastery and come back with a priest to have the poltergeist exorcised. My friend looked at me funny.

When we got back from dinner, there was the watch right in the middle of the bed where my friend had left it. She looked at me even funnier.

I hope your new home and routine settle down now that the moving part is over and you’re on your own now. Fingers crossed there’s no more slips and falls either, they can’t be much fun :-(
