Bathroom layout idea with 2 small bathrooms - including measurements
Comments (19)The "regular" bath layout that jensbride posted first is very similar to what our DD & DS shared for years and worked very well. The door, however, was a pocket style and placed directly across from the toilet. This allowed the vanity to be scooted around the corner to take up the whole wall. It leaves the toilet close to the tub, but with lots of elbow room. Our kids just learned to keep the door partially closed when the bath wasn't in use due to the "view"....See MoreNeed help on bathroom colors/accessories
Comments (12)1. Do I choose a darker wall color like here, or the one I chose. Keep the one you chose since it's a spec house. Perfect color. 2. I'm debating a wood mirror, white mirror, or tilt mirror. I'd go with a tilt mirror. You have enough going on with the pretty floor tile and blue walls with the pretty vanity. Honestly in the picture I find the wood mirror jarring. 3. 2 light, 3 light, vanity light, or 1 or 2 ceiling lights (like in the picture) High hat above the sink and a wall sconce on either side of the mirror if you're interested in getting the best light for things like shaving or putting on makeup....See MoreHeights of bathroom accessories
Comments (6)Stand up, close your eyes, and reach for a towel. That is how high a towel bar should be for you. It may look odd to have a towel bar above another towel bar, but then it may not. The second towel bar should be at least half a towel's distance above the lower towel bar. In anticipation of your next post, paint brush strokes should go in a variety of directions....See Morebathroom accessories
Comments (5)Ideas: - I like the wallpaper, but a bit of a breather from the busy pattern would be welcome ... choose one large piece of simple artwork (picking up the bright pinks) for above the toilet /make sure it has a wide white (cream?) mat. And a gold frame. - Put something pretty on top of the toilet (or on a small shelf above the toilet). This will reflect in the mirror, so it'll make a difference. - A super-fluffy pink (pink?) bath mat in front of the sink ... the teracotta tiles aren't particularly helping the theme, so make the bath mat large. - Add fancy-schmancy hardware on the drawers ... crystal or gold? - Ditch those plastic toiletries /decant them into pretty glass containers. - Add a small plant (plastic since they won't get any natural light). - Add a small mirrored tray to corral small items. - Add a fingertip towel holder on the countertop (but gold /not silver like my example)....See MoreMatt C
