I think a towel bar to the left of the vanity is a nice spot. You could also recreate this space in 3d and try out various options there first.

I was thinking towel bar opposite of the toilet (that's where it was before the remodel). Towel/robe hook I'm not sure.

I don't know how many people will use this bathroom, but I always buy double towel bars. Towels dry better if they have room to breathe.

Depends your paranoia......

Hey, that looks just like our hall bath in our last house! Except our door was hinged on the other side. The remodel changed it to a pocket door, much better for our circumstances. Would have been nice to hinge it on the left like yours, but that wasn’t an option.

Anyway, we had two children at the time. We put two double towel bars across from the toilet, and towel rings between the vanity and the wall with the door. There was a medicine cabinet on the side wall above the vanity. I did towel rings as they were easier for the kids to use, without the towels falling off or hanging too wonkily. We had a robe hook between the door and the side wall.

I would never put shelving over a toilet...needs swabbing or dusting daily and there is always a chance of items tumbling into the water beneath.

Large wipeable art sounds like a winner.

I installed wooden sauna shelves on the wall across from the toilet.

They have pegs at the bottom to hang many towels.

Fortunately, the heat vent is directly under the shelves.

I hang the bath sheets and large towels off a hook rack fastened to the back of the door.

I have adapted all my towels to include a sewn on loop on one end,or in the middle for the very large ones.

As an extra precaution I do not use any glass items in the bathroom....containers are all plastic,and toothbrushes and toothpaste are kept in individual mugs for each person inside the medicine cabinet.
